HEAT PUMP WELLS

Process and Methods

  • Planning and Design: The first step involves carefully planning the system, including the selection of well locations, determining their depths, and quantity. Planning also includes geological analysis of the area and assessing potential environmental impacts.
  • Drilling of Wells: Specialized drilling equipment is used to create wells of the appropriate depth. The drilling technique is adapted to the geological conditions and the system design.
  • Installation of Vertical Heat Exchangers: Vertical heat exchangers are installed in the wells, through which a working fluid (often a water-glycol solution) flows, exchanging heat with the ground.
  • Connection to Heat Pump: The heat exchangers are then connected to the heat pump, which is responsible for further distributing thermal energy to the heating or cooling system of the building.
  • Testing and System Commissioning: After installation, the system undergoes testing to ensure that all components are functioning correctly and efficiently.
